Job Summary
Manage and oversee daily plant operations, including mixer drivers, production, inventory control, and safety compliance. Schedule material deliveries based on Dispatch information, ensuring prompt and efficient service while maintaining environmental standards. Perform daily equipment and site inspections to identify unsafe conditions, troubleshoot material quality issues, and maintain facility conditions. Lead safety conversation meetings and enforce company policies, including disciplinary procedures, while completing required documentation. Safely operate ready mix plants and maintain good relationships with co-workers and outside agencies.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum Class B CDL with air brakes
- Ability to read, write and figure mathematical calculations
- Willingness to work all shifts, overtime, and weekends as required
- Ability to lift objects of various dimensions and up to 100lbs. of weight frequently
- Ability to repeatedly climb stairs and ladders
- Ability to repeatedly balance, bend from the trunk, crawl, kneel, push and pull objects
- Ability to tolerate working in all environmental temperatures and weather conditions
- Ability to repeatedly reach, squat and tolerate prolonged standing/walking / sitting
- Ability to repeatedly walk on uneven surfaces
Desired Qualifications
- Mixer driving and Batching experience preferred
- Good mechanical aptitude
- Good leadership abilities
- Excellent interpersonal skill and a positive attitude that fosters effective relationships
- Willingness and ability to learn and perform all duties of concrete operations as needed
