Job Summary
Area Superintendent (Undergrounds & Balance of Plant) will supervise craft operations and subordinate superintendents across the site, ensure adherence to specifications, budgets, and schedules, and coordinate field material requisitions, tooling, and subcontractor performance on the Kilby CCGT project in Pecos, TX. The role requires leading and directing craft activities, reviewing work, planning workforce needs, and ensuring safety, quality, and design-document conformity. The position involves liaising with Construction Field Engineers, Foremen, and Craft Professionals to interpret engineering documents, manage engineering solutions with subcontractors, and support equipment installation and punch-list closeout. A bachelor’s degree is required, with 10-17 years of relevant experience, and the assignment is a long-term camp role in Pecos, Texas.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree (or international equivalent)
- 10-13 years of relevant experience or 14-17 years of relevant work experience
- Experience in Combined Cycle power projects preferred
- Strong knowledge of construction engineering practices across all disciplines
- Coordinates Construction Completion Walkdowns and supervises punch list closeout
- Underground commodities installation experience (HDPE, Carbon Steel, duct bank)
- Ability to manage budgets, schedules, and equipment/material requirements
- Demonstrated leadership of craft supervision and subcontractors
- Familiarity with Bechtel standards and lessons learned
- Extended work schedules as required to support project execution
