Job Summary
Bechtel’s Manufacturing and Technology (M&T) unit seeks a senior Area Superintendent to lead and supervise a team of superintendents and craft professionals on projects (<$250M). You will direct craft activities and work schedules, coordinate subcontract work, ensure adherence to project policies, procedures, safety and quality standards, and drive productivity. Responsibilities include workforce planning and forecasting, coordinating with Construction Field Engineers, Foremen, and craft professionals to interpret engineering documents, and ensuring tools, materials, and equipment are available. The role requires ensuring compliance with specifications, budgets, and schedules, while leading team development and effective communication with project leadership and clients.
Required Qualifications
- Requires bachelor's degree (or international equivalent)
- 10-17 years of relevant experience (10-13 years or 14-17 years as stated)
- Experience in semiconductor, EV battery, data centers, or Pharmaceuticals preferred
- Hands-on implementation of AWP and OSM strategies; experience with project setup, system turnover, and completion preferred
- Proficiency with digital execution tools, 4D/5D planning, and analytics preferred
- Owns safe execution of work with deep knowledge of means/methods and trade interfaces
- Plans and drives work using AWP principles; translates inputs into executable plans
- Leads multi-trade field teams; coaching and development
- Controls cost, schedule, and quality; anticipates risk and mitigates impacts
