Job Summary
Complete all assigned Farmers Academy training, Thrive Program rotations, and live training events while supporting daily store operations in assigned locations. Assist with sales, credit, collections, warehouse, delivery, bookkeeping, and general office functions by operating point-of-sale systems and managing customer payments. Conduct inventory counts, manage store displays, and handle promotions. You may rotate through multiple store locations, manage a store in the Store Manager's absence, and travel to other training sites. Maintain satisfactory performance to become eligible for placement into a permanent Store Manager position upon program completion.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- three (3) years experience in practical supervisory retail and/or sales experience
- any combination of training, experience and education which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities for this position
- valid State Driver's License
- ability to travel overnight
- ability to evaluate, audit, deduce, and/or access data using established criteria
- ability to function in a managerial capacity for a division or organizational unit
- ability to operate, maneuver and/or control the actions of equipment, machinery, tools, and/or materials used in performing essential functions
- ability to utilize a wide variety of reference, descriptive and/or advisory data and information
- ability to perform addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division
- ability to calculate decimals and percentages
- ability to utilize principles of fractions
- ability to interpret graphs
- ability to interpret instructions furnished in written, oral, diagrammatic, or schedule form
- ability to apply principles of rational systems
- ability to exercise independent judgment to adopt or modify methods and standards to meet variations in assigned objectives
- ability to exercise judgment, decisiveness and creativity in situations involving the evaluation of information against sensory, judgmental, or subjective criteria
- ability to exert moderately heavy physical effort regularly, typically involving some combination of climbing and balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching and crawling
- ability to lift, carrying, pushing, and/or pulling of objects and materials of objects and materials of moderately heavy weight (20-50 pounds)
- ability to perceive and discriminate colors or shades of colors, sounds, depth, and visual cues or signals
- ability to communicate orally
