Job Summary
Area Sales Representative for Northern Virginia responsible for owning the number in the region, selling and executing incremental display space, optimizing shelf space, and driving brand awareness through in-store promotions and demonstrations. Build strong retailer relationships, manage an assigned account base with regular follow-up (8-12 stops/day), schedule weekly visits based on business needs, negotiate mutually beneficial agreements, and operate with a customer-centric approach to grow Spindrift's market presence. Utilize CRM applications to chronicle daily activities and display execution; adapt to a fast-growth, startup environment with flexibility for long hours and occasional travel. Emphasizes a “carry the bag” mentality, demos and market blitzes outside home territory, and a strong emphasis on communication, organization, and relationship-building skills.
Required Qualifications
- 1-5 years of experience in the beverage or consumer packaged goods industry
- Sales experience in various classes of trade including Grocery, Mass, Natural & Drug
- Proven sales success track record
