Job Summary
Drive bookings for hotel accommodations and meeting spaces at Hyatt Place Bloomington by proactively engaging corporate clients, individual travelers, tour groups, meeting planners, and travel agencies. Represent the hotel and affiliated properties; manage specific markets including corporate, government, and FITs; conduct property tours, handle sales calls, maintain an organized accounts filing system, and communicate client needs to onsite staff to ensure smooth transitions. Seek new sales opportunities through cold calls, maintain top accounts with monthly maintenance visits, participate in monthly sales meetings, attend local events (chamber meetings, travel shows) to promote the hotel, and uncover additional business in neighboring cities. Requirements include energy, motivation, and, ideally, hospitality sales experience; must have a valid driver’s license and insurance.
Required Qualifications
- Valid driver's license and insurance
- Hospitality sales experience is a plus
- Effective communication skills (written, verbal, interpersonal)
- Ability to handle multiple sales opportunities and maintain organized accounts
