Job Summary
As an Area Sales Manager at Thermo Fisher Scientific, you will guide and support growth in the laboratory equipment business, develop and implement sales strategies, build customer relationships, and oversee tender processes. Key responsibilities include collaborating with professionals to identify new business opportunities, maintaining partnerships with key accounts, ensuring customer satisfaction, and managing sales forecasts. This role requires a Master's degree in Life Sciences, Biotech, or Biomedical along with 5 years of industry sales experience, strong project management skills, proficiency in CRM systems, and the ability to analyze market trends.
Required Qualifications
- Master's degree in Life Sciences, Biotech, or Biomedical
- 5 years of experience in sales in Biotech, Life Science, or BioPharma industries
- Demonstrated expertise in tender management and submission processes
- Consistent record of meeting sales targets
- Experience in managing and developing customer and channel partner relationships
- Ability to analyze market trends and develop effective sales strategies
- Proficiency in pipeline management and sales forecasting
- Strong project management and coordination skills
- Proficiency in business intelligence tools and CRM systems (e.g., Power BI, Salesforce)
- Advanced communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
- Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams
- Experience in organizing and facilitating technical and marketing events
- Knowledge of SQL and reporting tools preferred
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
- Ability to maintain detailed documentation and manage multiple priorities
- Excellent relationship building skills with both internal and external stakeholders
- Experience in coordinating with legal and finance teams for contract management
