Job Summary
Area Sales Manager for North Carolina to sell Portwest PPE/workwear to distributors, resellers, and agents. Responsibilities include building quality business relationships, conducting daily face-to-face sales meetings, identifying high-potential customers and new business opportunities, developing sales plans, employing consultative selling to meet needs, preparing clear proposals/quotations, presenting samples, following up to close sales, gathering market intelligence from events and journals, and promoting distributor promotions to end users. Travel throughout the region and effective collaboration with the Regional Sales Manager are required.
Required Qualifications
- 2 – 5 years' experience selling PPE, workwear or safety wear
- Experience selling on behalf of a manufacturer, distributor, reseller or agent
- Sales experience in related industry (Automotive, Tools, Chemicals, MROs, etc.)
- Drive to continue sales growth through field sales
- Clean driving licence
- Willingness to travel throughout the designated region
- Strong interpersonal and negotiating skills
- Positive attitude with a winning mentality
- Excellent team player
