Job Summary
Area Sales Manager for Nephrology in the Washington, DC region responsible for executing sales, market development, and strategic planning for company products. Engage with nephrology healthcare professionals in office, hospital, and dialysis settings. Daily travel within the assigned territory (DC, Northern VA, Richmond, Baltimore, Western PA/Pittsburgh). Call on nephrologists, health systems, dialysis organizations and staff to promote portfolio; demonstrate disease-state and product knowledge; build productive relationships across marketplace networks; analyze sales performance and adjust plans; maintain up-to-date call records and reports; represent the company professionally; collaborate with Commercial partners.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field
- 5+ years’ experience selling in the pharmaceutical industry, highly preferred in Nephrology, Renal, and/or Dialysis
- Proven track record as a top sales performer
- Demonstrated knowledge of account-based selling
- Account management experience navigating in a complex, competitive marketplace
