Job Summary
Area Sales Manager in Nephrology focused on owning and executing sales strategies and market development within the Washington, DC region and surrounding territories. Responsibilities include engaging nephrology-focused health care professionals across office, hospital, and dialysis settings; promoting company product portfolios; achieving sales objectives; analyzing performance and adjusting business plans; maintaining up-to-date field activity records; and collaborating with commercial partners. Requires daily travel within the assigned territory and a strong emphasis on relationship-building with nephrologists, dialysis organizations, health systems, and related staff. Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years of pharmaceutical sales experience with preference for nephrology/renal exposure; strong account management and disease-state knowledge are essential.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree
- 5+ years’ experience selling in the pharmaceutical industry, highly preferred in Nephrology, Renal, and/or Dialysis
- Proven track record as a top sales performer
- Demonstrated knowledge of account-based selling
- Account management experience navigating in a complex, competitive marketplace
