Job Summary
Area Sales Manager responsible for nephrology portfolio across a multi-state territory, driving sales, market development, and strategic plans. Engage nephrologists, health systems, and dialysis organizations in office, hospital, and dialysis settings; conduct daily travel within the DC-NORVA-Richmond-Baltimore-Pittsburgh region; promote products to physicians, nurses, renal dietitians, pharmacists, and other staff; maintain up-to-date call records and reports; collaborate with commercial partners to achieve sales objectives; demonstrate advanced disease state and product knowledge of nephrology, with focus on renal therapies and related specialties. Territory includes Washington DC, Northern VA, Richmond, Baltimore and Western PA/Pittsburgh; relocation not specified. Requires a bachelor’s degree and 5+ years of pharmaceutical sales experience, with strong account-based selling and account-management skills.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree
- 5+ years’ experience selling in the pharmaceutical industry, highly preferred in Nephrology, Renal, and/or Dialysis
- Proven track record as a top sales performer
- Demonstrated knowledge of account-based selling
- Account management experience navigating in a complex, competitive marketplace
