Job Summary
Area Sales Manager responsible for selling, market development, and strategic planning for the nephrology portfolio. Will engage with nephrologists, dialysis organizations, and health systems; regularly travel within the assigned territory (Washington DC, Northern VA, Richmond, Baltimore, and Western PA/Pittsburgh) to promote products to physicians, nurses, pharmacists, and other staff. Roles include demonstrating disease-state and product knowledge, building productive relationships within marketplace networks, analyzing sales performance to adjust plans, maintaining up-to-date call records and reporting, and collaborating with Commercial partners.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree
- 5+ years’ experience selling in the pharmaceutical industry, highly preferred in Nephrology, Renal, and/or Dialysis
- Proven track record as a top sales performer
- Demonstrated knowledge of account-based selling
- Account management experience navigating in a complex, competitive marketplace
