Job Summary
Area Sales Manager responsible for executing sales, market development, and strategic planning for nephrology portfolio across Washington DC, Northern VA, Richmond, Baltimore, and Western PA/Pittsburgh. Daily travel within territory; engage nephrologists, health systems, dialysis organizations; promote company products to physicians, nurses, dietitians, pharmacists, hospitals and related staff; demonstrate disease-state and product knowledge; maintain call records and reports; collaborate with Commercial partners; strive for growth in a complex, competitive market. Responsibilities include building relationships within marketplace networks, analyzing sales performance, and adapting business plans; travel required within assigned territory.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree
- 5+ years’ experience selling in the pharmaceutical industry (highly preferred in Nephrology, Renal, and/or Dialysis)
- Account management experience
- Proven track record as a top sales performer
- Demonstrated knowledge of account-based selling
