Job Summary
Area Sales Manager for Nephrology responsible for executing sales, market development, and strategic planning within a multi-state territory including Washington DC, Northern VA, Richmond, Baltimore, and Western PA. Will engage nephrologists, health systems, and dialysis organizations, promote the portfolio to physicians, nurses, renal dietitians, pharmacists, and hospitals, travel daily within the assigned territory, analyze sales performance, adjust business plans, maintain up-to-date field call records, and collaborate with Commercial partners to drive product knowledge and disease-state expertise in renal specialties.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree
- 5+ years’ experience selling in the pharmaceutical industry
- Account management experience navigating in a complex, competitive marketplace
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field
- 5+ years of pharmaceutical sales experience (Nephrology/Renal/Dialysis highly preferred)
- Account management experience in a complex, competitive marketplace
- Proven top sales performance and ability to develop and execute sales plans
- Experience selling to nephrologists, health systems, dialysis organizations
- Strong relationship-building and communication skills
- Ability to travel daily within a multi-state territory
