Job Summary
Area Sales Manager for Nephrology in the Washington, DC region; responsible for sales, market development, and strategic planning of company products within a multi-state territory (DC, Northern VA, Richmond, Baltimore, Western PA). Engage nephrologists, health systems, dialysis organizations, and related staff; travel daily within territory; promote portfolio to physicians, nurses, renal dietitians, pharmacists, and hospital staff; analyze sales performance and adapt business plans; maintain call records and reports; collaborate with commercial partners; advance disease-state and product knowledge across renal specialties.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree
- 5+ years’ experience selling in the pharmaceutical industry preferably nephrology/renal/dialysis
- account management experience in complex, competitive markets
- top sales performance track record
- knowledge of nephrology/renal/dialysis products and disease states
- experience navigating IDN systems (preferred)
- ability to travel within assigned territory
- ability to establish relationships with nephrologists and healthcare staff
