Job Summary
As Area Sales Manager for Nephrology, you will execute sales, market development, and strategic planning for company products within the Washington DC region and surrounding territories (DC, Northern VA, Richmond, Baltimore, Western PA/Pittsburgh). You will engage nephrology-focused health care professionals in office, hospital, and dialysis settings, promote product benefits to physicians, nurses, renal dietitians, pharmacists, hospitals, and related staff, and maintain up-to-date call records while traveling within the assigned territory. The role emphasizes advanced disease state knowledge in nephrology/renal therapies, account management, territory planning, collaboration with commercial partners, and delivering a positive, professional image for CSL Vifor in the marketplace.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree
- 5+ years’ experience selling in the pharmaceutical industry, highly preferred in Nephrology, Renal, and/or Dialysis
- Proven track record as a top sales performer
- Demonstrated knowledge of account-based selling
- Account management experience navigating in a complex, competitive marketplace
