Job Summary
Area Sales Manager for Nephrology in the Washington, DC region responsible for executing sales, market development, and strategic planning for company products. Engage with health care professionals involved in renal care across office, hospital, and dialysis settings; travel daily within the assigned territory (Washington DC, Northern VA, Richmond, Baltimore and Western PA/Pittsburgh) to call on nephrologists, health systems, and dialysis organizations to promote the portfolio. Demonstrate advanced disease state and product knowledge, build productive relationships within marketplace networks, analyze sales performance to adjust business plans, maintain up-to-date call records, and collaborate with Commercial partners. Requires a Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years of pharma sales experience with a strong account-management track record; preferred experience in renal, dialysis, nephrology, hospital sales, and IDN systems.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree
- 5+ years’ experience selling in the pharmaceutical industry, highly preferred in Nephrology, Renal, and/or Dialysis
- Proven track record as a top sales performer
- Demonstrated knowledge of account-based selling
- Account management experience navigating in a complex, competitive marketplace
