Job Summary
Area Sales Manager responsible for sales, market development, and strategic planning in nephrology with daily travel across Washington DC, Northern VA, Richmond, Baltimore, and Western PA. Call on nephrologists, health systems, dialysis organizations, and other key customers to promote portfolio products; demonstrate disease state and product knowledge; maintain up-to-date call records; collaborate with Commercial partners; and adjust business plans based on performance. Territory includes DC, Northern VA, Richmond, Baltimore and Western PA/Pittsburgh; travel within assigned territory and to engage physicians, nurses, renal dietitians, pharmacists, hospitals, and dialysis centers.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree
- 5+ years’ experience selling in the pharmaceutical industry, highly preferred in Nephrology, Renal, and/or Dialysis
- Proven track record as a top sales performer
- Demonstrated knowledge of account-based selling
- Account management experience navigating in a complex, competitive marketplace
