Job Summary
Area Sales Manager responsible for executing sales, market development, and strategic planning for nephrology portfolio across the DC metro region; will engage with nephrologists, dialysis clinics/providers, hospitals, and health systems to promote portfolio products. Requires daily travel within the assigned territory (Washington DC, Northern VA, Richmond, Baltimore, and Western PA/Pittsburgh), building positive relationships with physicians, nurses, renal dietitians, pharmacists, and administrative staff; responsible for advancing product knowledge, analyzing sales performance, maintaining up-to-date call records, and collaborating with commercial partners to achieve sales objectives.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree
- 5+ years’ experience selling in the pharmaceutical industry, highly preferred in Nephrology, Renal, and/or Dialysis
- Proven track record as a top sales performer
- Demonstrated knowledge of account-based selling
- Account management experience navigating in a complex, competitive marketplace
