Job Summary
Area Sales Manager responsible for executing sales, market development, and strategic planning for nephrology products within a defined US territory (Washington DC, Northern VA, Richmond, Baltimore, and Western PA/Pittsburgh). Engage with nephrologists, health systems, and dialysis organizations; promote portfolio to physicians, nurses, renal dietitians, pharmacists, hospitals, and related staff; conduct disease-state and product knowledge discussions; establish and nurture relationships across marketplace networks; analyze sales performance and adjust business plans; maintain up-to-date call records and reports; travel daily within the assigned territory; collaborate with Commercial partners to drive growth.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree
- 5+ years’ experience selling in the pharmaceutical industry, highly preferred in Nephrology, Renal, and/or Dialysis
- Proven track record as a top sales performer
- Demonstrated knowledge of account-based selling
- Account management experience navigating in a complex, competitive marketplace
