Job Summary
Area Sales Manager for Nephrology in the Washington, DC region with responsibilities spanning sales execution, market development, and strategic planning for company products. Responsible for engaging nephrology-related healthcare settings (office, hospital, dialysis), traveling within the assigned territory (DC, Northern VA, Richmond, Baltimore, Western PA), calling on nephrologists, health systems, dialysis organizations, and related staff, promoting portfolio benefits to physicians, nurses, renal dietitians, pharmacists, and hospitals, demonstrating disease-state knowledge and product knowledge, establishing relationships within marketplace networks, analyzing sales performance to adjust business plans, maintaining up-to-date field-call records, and representing the company professionally. Collaboration with Commercial partners and maintaining comprehensive reporting. The role emphasizes senior-level sales leadership, territory management, and extensive travel within the specified territory.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree
- 5+ years’ experience selling in the pharmaceutical industry
- Proven track record as a top sales performer
- Demonstrated knowledge of account-based selling
- Account management experience navigating in a complex, competitive marketplace
- Renal, Dialysis, Nephrology, Specialty pharma, Rare Disease, and Hospital sales experience (preferred)
- Experience working within IDN systems (highly preferred)
