Job Summary
Area Sales Manager will lead sales, market development, and strategic planning for nephrology products within the Washington DC region, engaging nephrologists, health systems, and dialysis organizations in office, hospital, and dialysis settings. Expect daily travel within the territory (Washington DC, Northern VA, Richmond, Baltimore, and Western PA/Pittsburgh). Responsibilities include calling on nephrologists and related staff, promoting portfolio benefits to physicians, nurses, dietitians, pharmacists, and hospitals, maintaining disease-state and product knowledge, building productive marketplace relationships, analyzing sales performance to adjust plans, maintaining up-to-date call records, representing the company professionally, and collaborating with Commercial partners. Minimum requirements include a Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years of pharmaceutical sales experience with a preference for nephrology/renal/dialysis experience; strong account management and complex-market navigation skills are important.
