Job Summary
Area Sales Manager for Nephrology covering Washington DC, Northern VA, Richmond, Baltimore and Western PA/Pittsburgh. Responsible for executing sales, market development, and strategic planning for company products; engage with nephrology health care professionals in office, hospital, and dialysis settings; extensive daily travel within the assigned territory; build and maintain physician, nurse, renal-dietitian, pharmacist, and hospital relationships; promote portfolio benefits, demonstrate disease state knowledge, and analyze sales performance to adjust business plans; maintain up-to-date call records and collaborate with Commercial partners.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree
- 5+ years’ experience selling in the pharmaceutical industry, highly preferred in Nephrology, Renal, and/or Dialysis
- Proven track record as a top sales performer
- Demonstrated knowledge of account-based selling
- Account management experience navigating in a complex, competitive marketplace
