Job Summary
Area Sales Manager in nephrology responsible for driving sales, market development, and strategic planning within the Washington DC region and surrounding territories. You will engage with nephrology-focused health care professionals across office, hospital, and dialysis settings; travel daily within the assigned territory (DC, Northern VA, Richmond, Baltimore, Western PA/Pittsburgh); call on nephrologists, health systems, dialysis organizations, and staff to promote the portfolio; demonstrate advanced disease-state knowledge and promote product knowledge; maintain up-to-date call records and reports; build positive relationships across marketplace networks; collaborate with Commercial partners to optimize performance.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree
- 5+ years’ experience selling in the pharmaceutical industry
- Proven track record as a top sales performer
- Account management experience navigating in a complex, competitive marketplace
Desired Qualifications
- Renal/Dialysis/Nephrology sales experience
- Experience working within IDN systems
- Proven track record in pharmaceutical sales
- Account management skills
- Strong relationship-building with physicians, nurses, dietitians, pharmacists, hospitals
- Advanced disease state knowledge in nephrology and renal therapies
- Ability to travel daily within assigned territory
