Job Summary
Area Sales Manager, Nephrology in the Washington, DC region responsible for executing all aspects of sales, market development, and strategic planning for company products. You will engage with nephrology-focused healthcare professionals in office, hospital, and dialysis settings, travel daily within the assigned territory, call on nephrologists, health systems, dialysis organizations and their staff, promote the portfolio to physicians, nurses, renal dietitians, pharmacists, hospitals and related staff, demonstrate disease-state and product knowledge, establish positive relationships within marketplace networks, analyze sales performance and adjust plans, maintain up-to-date call records and submit reports, and collaborate with Commercial partners.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree
- 5+ years’ experience selling in the pharmaceutical industry
- Proven track record as a top sales performer
- Demonstrated knowledge of account-based selling
- Account management experience navigating in a complex, competitive marketplace
