Job Summary
Area Sales Manager, Nephrology for the Washington, DC region. Responsible for executing all aspects of sales, market development, and strategic planning for nephrology products. Engage with nephrologists, health systems, and dialysis organizations in office, hospital, and dialysis settings. Daily travel within the assigned territory (Washington DC, Northern VA, Richmond, Baltimore, and Western PA/Pittsburgh). Call on and promote products to physicians, nurses, renal dietitians, pharmacists, hospitals, and other key customers; demonstrate advanced disease state and product knowledge; establish and nurture relationships within marketplace networks; analyze sales performance and adjust business plans accordingly; maintain up-to-date call records and submit reports. Represent CSL Vifor professionally externally and internally; collaborate with Commercial partners.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree
- 5+ years’ experience selling in the pharmaceutical industry, highly preferred in Nephrology, Renal, and/or Dialysis
- Proven track record as a top sales performer
- Demonstrated knowledge of account-based selling
- Account management experience navigating in a complex, competitive marketplace
