Job Summary
Area Sales Manager responsible for executing sales, market development, and strategic planning for nephrology products across a multi-state territory including Washington DC, Northern VA, Richmond, Baltimore, and Western PA/Pittsburgh. Engage with nephrologists, health systems, dialysis organizations and staff; promote portfolio benefits to physicians, nurses, renal dietitians, pharmacists, and hospitals. Travel daily within the assigned territory; maintain up-to-date call records and reports; analyze sales performance and adjust business plans; build positive relationships within marketplace networks; collaborate with Commercial partners to drive product knowledge and disease-state understanding.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree
- 5+ years’ experience selling in the pharmaceutical industry (highly preferred in Nephrology, Renal, and/or Dialysis)
- Proven track record as a top sales performer
- Demonstrated knowledge of account-based selling
- Account management experience navigating in a complex, competitive marketplace
