Job Summary
Area Sales Manager for Nephrology overseeing sales, market development, and strategic planning across the Washington, DC metro region including DC, Northern Virginia, Richmond, Baltimore, and western Pennsylvania. Responsible for engaging nephrology clinicians, dialysis organizations, hospitals, and related staff to promote the company’s portfolio, traveling daily within the assigned territory. Build and maintain positive relationships with physicians, nurses, renal dietitians, pharmacists, and health system staff; demonstrate advanced disease-state knowledge and product knowledge; analyze sales performance and adjust business plans; maintain up-to-date call records and submit reports; collaborate with Commercial partners.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree
- 5+ years’ experience selling in the pharmaceutical industry
- Experience in Nephrology, Renal and/or Dialysis preferred
- Account management experience
- Proven track record as a top sales performer
- Demonstrated knowledge of account-based selling
- Ability to navigate in a complex, competitive marketplace
