Job Summary
Area Sales Manager, Nephrology in the Washington DC territory. You will execute all aspects of sales, market development, and strategic planning for company products, engaging with nephrology-focused health care professionals in office, hospital, and dialysis settings. Daily travel within the assigned territory is required across Washington DC, Northern VA, Richmond, Baltimore, and Western PA/Pittsburgh. Responsibilities include selling portfolio benefits to physicians, nurses, renal dietitians, pharmacists, hospitals, and other staff; promoting disease-state and product knowledge; establishing productive relationships within marketplace networks; analyzing sales performance and adjusting business plans; maintaining up-to-date call records and submitting reports; representing the company professionally; and collaborating with Commercial partners.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree
- 5+ years’ experience selling in the pharmaceutical industry
- experience in nephrology/renal/dialysis preferred
- account management experience
- top sales performance
- knowledge of disease states and product portfolio
- ability to analyze sales performance and adjust business plans
- strong communication and relationship-building skills
- willingness to travel daily within territory
