Job Summary
Area Sales Manager responsible for nephrology portfolio across Washington DC, Northern VA, Richmond, Baltimore, and Western PA/Pittsburgh. Executes sales, market development, and strategic planning; engages nephrology-healthcare professionals in office, hospital, and dialysis settings; travels daily within the territory; calls on nephrologists, health systems, dialysis organizations, and staff to promote products; demonstrates disease-state and product knowledge; builds productive relationships within market networks; analyzes sales performance and adjusts business plans; maintains up-to-date call records and submits reports; collaborates with Commercial partners; represents CSL externally and internally; requires 5+ years sales experience in pharma with nephrology/renal/dialysis knowledge; bachelor’s degree; strong account management and territory management skills.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree
- 5+ years’ experience selling in the pharmaceutical industry, highly preferred in Nephrology, Renal, and/or Dialysis
- Proven track record as a top sales performer
- Demonstrated knowledge of account-based selling
- Account management experience navigating in a complex, competitive marketplace
