Job Summary
Area Sales Manager responsible for executing sales, market development, and strategic planning for the nephrology portfolio within a multi-city US territory. You will engage nephrologists, dialysis organizations, and health systems across office, hospital, and dialysis settings, drive physician and stakeholder relationships, maintain up-to-date call records, and collaborate with commercial partners. Daily travel within the defined territory (Washington DC, Northern VA, Richmond, Baltimore, Western PA/Pittsburgh) to promote products, demonstrate disease-state knowledge, and adjust business plans based on performance.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field
- 5+ years of experience selling in the pharmaceutical industry; nephrology, renal, dialysis experience preferred
- Proven track record as a top sales performer
- Account management experience navigating in a complex, competitive marketplace
- Knowledge of account-based selling and territory management
