Job Summary
Area Sales Manager responsible for sales, market development, and strategic planning for nephrology portfolio in the Washington DC area; engage with nephrologists, dialysis organizations, and health care professionals in office, hospital, and dialysis settings; daily travel within the assigned territory; call on physicians, nurses, pharmacists, and hospitals to promote company products; demonstrate disease-state and product knowledge; establish constructive relationships within marketplace networks; analyze sales performance and adjust business plans; maintain up-to-date call records and reports; collaborate with commercial partners; represent the company professionally internally and externally.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree
- 5+ years’ experience selling in the pharmaceutical industry
- preferred in Nephrology, Renal, and/or Dialysis
- proven track record as a top sales performer
- account management experience navigating in a complex, competitive marketplace
- Renal, Dialysis, Nephrology, Specialty pharma, Rare Disease, and Hospital sales experience (preferred)
- IDN systems experience (highly preferred)
