Job Summary
Area Sales Manager, Nephrology (Washington, DC area) will execute sales, market development, and strategic planning for nephrology products within a defined territory, engaging nephrologists, dialysis organizations, and health systems across Washington DC, Northern Virginia, Richmond, Baltimore, and Western PA. Responsibilities include promoting product benefits to physicians, nurses, renal dietitians, pharmacists, and hospitals; demonstrating disease-state and product knowledge; maintaining up-to-date call records and reports; collaborating with commercial partners; and traveling daily within the territory to meet sales objectives. Requires strong account management and territory planning, with a Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years in pharma sales; experience in nephrology, dialysis, or specialty pharma is preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree
- 5+ years’ experience selling in the pharmaceutical industry (preferred in Nephrology, Renal, Dialysis)
- Account management experience navigating in a complex, competitive marketplace
