Job Summary
Area Sales Manager for Nephrology leads sales, market development, and strategic planning for the portfolio within Washington DC, Northern Virginia, Richmond, Baltimore, and Western PA/Pittsburgh. Daily travel within the territory to call on nephrologists, health systems, dialysis organizations, and their staff; promote portfolio benefits to physicians, nurses, renal dietitians, pharmacists, hospitals, and related staff; demonstrate advanced disease-state and product knowledge; establish productive relationships across marketplace networks; analyze sales performance to adjust business plans; maintain up-to-date field call records and reports; collaborate with Commercial partners and represent the company professionally.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree
- 5+ years’ experience selling in the pharmaceutical industry (highly preferred in Nephrology, Renal, and/or Dialysis)
- Proven track record as a top sales performer
- Demonstrated knowledge of account-based selling
- Account management experience navigating in a complex, competitive marketplace
