Job Summary
Area Sales Manager responsible for selling and promoting company nephrology products within a multi-state territory (Tennessee, Kentucky, Ohio, Alabama). Duties include executing sales, market development, and strategic planning; engaging nephrology care professionals across offices, hospital, and dialysis settings; traveling daily within assigned territory; calling on nephrologists, health systems, and dialysis organizations; promoting product portfolio to physicians, nurses, renal dietitians, pharmacists, and hospitals; maintaining disease-state and product knowledge; building relationships within marketplace networks; analyzing sales performance and adjusting business plans; maintaining up-to-date field call records and reports; representing the company professionally and collaborating with commercial partners.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree
- 5+ years’ experience selling in the pharmaceutical industry, highly preferred in Nephrology, Renal, and/or Dialysis
- Proven track record as a top sales performer
- Demonstrated knowledge of account-based selling
- Account management experience navigating in a complex, competitive marketplace
- Preferred: Renal, Dialysis, Nephrology, Specialty pharma, Rare Disease, and Hospital sales experience
- Experience working within IDN systems is highly preferred
