Job Summary
Area Sales Manager for Nephrology responsible for executing all aspects of sales, market development, and strategic planning for the portfolio across TN, KY, OH, and AL. You will engage with nephrologists, health systems, and dialysis organizations in office, hospital, and dialysis settings, with daily travel within the assigned territory. Responsibilities include calling on and engaging with physicians, nurses, renal dietitians, pharmacists, hospitals, and other key customers to promote products; demonstrating disease-state and product knowledge; establishing positive relationships within marketplace networks; analyzing sales performance and adjusting plans; maintaining up-to-date call records and reporting; and collaborating with Commercial partners. A Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years of pharmaceutical sales experience (nephrology/dialysis preferred) are expected, with a track record of top sales performance and account management experience. This role emphasizes strategic planning, territory development, and meaningful customer engagement in a dynamic nephrology market.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree
- 5+ years’ experience selling in pharmaceutical industry (nephrology, renal or dialysis preferred)
- Proven track record as a top sales performer
- Account management experience navigating in a complex, competitive marketplace
- Experience with nephrology, dialysis, or specialty pharma sales preferred
- Experience working within IDN systems is highly preferred
