Job Summary
Area Sales Manager for the Nephrology portfolio overseeing Central and South Texas (San Antonio, Houston, Austin, McAllen). This role executes sales, market development, and strategic planning for company products, engages nephrology healthcare professionals in office, hospital, and dialysis settings, and travels daily within the territory. Responsibilities include calling on nephrologists, health systems, and dialysis organizations to promote products; demonstrating advanced disease-state and product knowledge; building and maintaining productive relationships across marketplace networks; analyzing sales performance and adjusting business plans; maintaining up-to-date call records and reports; and collaborating with Commercial partners to drive growth.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree
- 5+ years’ experience selling in the pharmaceutical industry, highly preferred in Nephrology, Renal, and/or Dialysis
- Proven track record as a top sales performer
- Demonstrated knowledge of account-based selling
- Account management experience navigating in a complex, competitive marketplace
- Experience with IDN systems highly preferred
