Job Summary

Area Sales Manager, Nephrology covering Central and South Texas (San Antonio, Houston, Austin, McAllen) responsible for executing sales, market development, and strategic planning for nephrology portfolio. Engage with nephrologists, health systems, and dialysis organizations; travel within the territory; promote products to physicians, nurses, renal dietitians, pharmacists, hospitals, and related staff. Demonstrate disease-state and product knowledge, maintain up-to-date call records, prepare reports, and collaborate with Commercial partners to drive sales strategy and performance across office, hospital, and dialysis settings.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 5+ years’ experience selling in the pharmaceutical industry
  • Strong track record as a top sales performer
  • Demonstrated knowledge of account-based selling
  • Account management experience in a complex, competitive marketplace
  • Experience engaging nephrology-related healthcare settings (nephrologists, dialysis organizations)
  • Experience with sales in renal or hospital environments (preferred)
  • IDN systems experience (preferred)
  • Ability to travel daily within assigned territory (Central and South Texas: San Antonio, Houston, Austin, McAllen, TX)
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
  • Ability to analyze sales performance and adjust business plans
