Job Summary
Area Sales Manager for Nephrology in the Houston TX area oversees sales, market development, and strategic planning for company products within Central and South Texas. Engages with nephrologists, health systems, dialysis organizations, and staff in office, hospital, and dialysis settings; includes frequent travel within the territory. Responsibilities include calling on physicians and other key customers, promoting product benefits, maintaining disease-state and product knowledge, building productive relationships across marketplace networks, analyzing sales performance, adjusting business plans, maintaining call records, and collaborating with commercial partners. Territory covers San Antonio, Houston, Austin, and McAllen, TX. Requires a Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years in pharmaceutical sales with nephrology/renal/dialysis experience preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree
- 5+ years’ experience selling in the pharmaceutical industry, highly preferred in Nephrology, Renal, and/or Dialysis
- Proven track record as a top sales performer
- Demonstrated knowledge of account-based selling
- Account management experience navigating in a complex, competitive marketplace
