Job Summary
Area Sales Manager for Nephrology in Houston/Texas territory responsible for driving sales, market development, and strategic planning for nephrology products. Will engage with nephrologists, health systems, dialysis organizations, and other key customer groups in office, hospital, and dialysis settings. Requires daily travel within Central/South Texas (San Antonio, Houston, Austin, McAllen) to promote product portfolio, demonstrate disease-state and product knowledge, build relationships across marketplace networks, analyze sales performance, maintain call records, and collaborate with commercial partners. Must demonstrate advanced nephrology/renal product knowledge, strong account management and territory planning skills, and the ability to manage a comprehensive sales plan across diverse customer types including physicians, nurses, renal dietitians, pharmacists, and hospitals.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree
- 5+ years’ experience selling in the pharmaceutical industry, highly preferred in Nephrology, Renal, and/or Dialysis
- Proven track record as a top sales performer
- Demonstrated knowledge of account-based selling
- Account management experience navigating in a complex, competitive marketplace
