Job Summary
Area Sales Manager in Nephrology leads sales strategy and execution across a defined Texas territory (Central/South Texas including San Antonio, Houston, Austin, McAllen) by engaging nephrologists, health systems, dialysis organizations, and related staff. Responsibilities include driving market development, advancing product knowledge and disease-state awareness, maintaining call records, and collaborating with Commercial partners. Daily travel within the territory, strong emphasis on relationship building with physicians, nurses, pharmacists, dietitians, and hospitals, and delivering data-driven adjustments to the business plan. Requires proven pharmaceutical sales experience, account management skills, and the ability to navigate complex markets; a Bachelor’s degree is preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree
- 5+ years’ experience selling in the pharmaceutical industry
- Experience in Nephrology/Renal/Dialysis sales (preferred)
- Account management experience
- Top sales performer
- IDN systems experience (preferred)
