Job Summary
Area Sales Manager for Nephrology in the Houston/Texas territory. Lead sales, market development, and strategic planning for company products; engage nephrology professionals in office, hospital, and dialysis settings; travel daily within the Central and South Texas region (San Antonio, Houston, Austin, McAllen, TX) to call on nephrologists, health systems, dialysis organizations, and staff; promote portfolio to physicians, nurses, renal dietitians, pharmacists, and hospitals; demonstrate disease-state and product knowledge, analyze sales performance, adjust business plans, maintain call records, and collaborate with commercial partners. Requires a Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years of pharma sales experience with preference for Nephrology/Renal/Dialysis experience.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree
- 5+ years’ experience selling in the pharmaceutical industry, highly preferred in Nephrology, Renal, and/or Dialysis
- Proven track record as a top sales performer
- Demonstrated knowledge of account-based selling
- Account management experience navigating in a complex, competitive marketplace
