Job Summary
Area Sales Manager for Nephrology in Houston territory, responsible for sales execution, market development, and strategic planning across a Central and South Texas region including San Antonio, Austin, McAllen, and Houston. Responsibilities include engaging with nephrologists, health systems, and dialysis organizations; promoting portfolio benefits to physicians, nurses, renal dietitians, pharmacists, and hospitals; demonstrating disease-state and product knowledge; maintaining field call records and reports; and collaborating with Commercial partners. Requires extensive territory management, travel, and a strong track record in pharmaceutical sales, with emphasis on Nephrology, Renal, Dialysis, and hospital/IDN experience. Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years of pharmaceutical sales experience preferred; able to navigate a complex marketplace and establish productive relationships.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree
- 5+ years’ experience selling in the pharmaceutical industry, highly preferred in Nephrology, Renal, and/or Dialysis
- Proven track record as a top sales performer
- Demonstrated knowledge of account-based selling
- Account management experience navigating in a complex, competitive marketplace
