Job Summary
Area Sales Manager for three Marriott-branded properties in New Jersey (Courtyard by Marriott - North Brunswick, SpringHill Suites Woodbridge, Fairfield Inn & Suites Parsippany). Owns proactive sales across transient, small group, extended-stay, and SMERF segments for all three hotels, balancing demand and cross-selling between brands. Develops and executes annual Sales & Marketing Plans, builds unified prospecting strategy, conducts cluster pace and production reviews, and drives account management and new business. Responsibilities include soliciting, qualifying, negotiating, and closing opportunities across the cluster, maintaining top accounts, site inspections and FAM trips, and managing group blocks and catering. Uses Marriott systems (CI/TY, SFAWeb|CI, MarRFP, MeetingBroker, Opera S&C, MGS, eFast, Cvent/Lanyon), drives LNR program, and promotes Bonvoy for Business and Bonvoy Events. Requires travel between three NJ properties; strong prospecting, negotiation, closing, and time-management skills; minimum 3 years of hotel sales experience with Marriott multi-property experience; high school diploma required; bachelor’s preferred. Required Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of hotel sales experience, with at least 2 years at a Marriott-branded property.
- Strong prospecting, negotiation, closing, and time-management skills.
- High school diploma or GED required; bachelor’s degree in hospitality, Business, Marketing, or related field preferred.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation; ability to travel daily between the three properties and across the New Jersey/NYC metro market.
