Job Summary
Area Sales Manager responsible for driving business growth across the assigned territory by leading field sales teams and expanding merchant acquisition and engagement for EDC/POS terminals, Soundbox, Payment Gateway, EMI, and merchant lending products. Lead market expansion, develop merchant relationships, and ensure sustainable growth in transaction volumes. Manage the complete sales lifecycle from lead generation to deal closure, coach and develop Sales Executives and Team Leads, monitor performance, and deliver regular forecasts and business reviews. Develop deep product expertise across EDC/POS machines, payment gateway solutions, EMI solutions, and merchant lending products; collaborate cross-functionally with Growth, Operations, Product, and Sales Excellence teams to achieve targets and activation initiatives.
Required Qualifications
- 7+ years of leadership experience in EDC/POS Sales, Fintech, Financial Services, Insurance Sales, FMCD Distribution
- Proven experience building and scaling sales teams
- Strong expertise in field sales and distribution management
- Ability to set, track, and achieve aggressive business targets
- Experience conducting daily, weekly, and monthly sales reviews
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Experience managing large territories and multi-location operations
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and leadership skills
- High ownership mindset with strong execution capabilities
