Job Summary
Area Sales Manager Hospital responsible for driving sales growth and market share within designated hospital accounts in India, developing and executing strategic sales plans, building relationships with clinicians, procurement and administrative staff, conducting product presentations and in-service training, analyzing market trends and competitors, delivering accurate sales forecasts and market intelligence, negotiating contracts in line with company policies, collaborating with marketing, customer service and technical support, managing the sales funnel from lead generation to deal closure, and traveling extensively to cover assigned territory.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy, Biomedical Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field (MBA is a plus)
- Minimum of 5-7 years of progressive sales experience in the medical device or pharmaceutical industry within the hospital segment
- Proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets
- Strong understanding of the Indian healthcare market, hospital procurement processes, and key stakeholders
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
- Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with diverse customer groups
- Willingness to travel extensively within the assigned territory
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and CRM software
