Area Sales Manager

Job Summary
Identify, pursue, and secure new business opportunities through prospecting, networking, cold calling, and lead generation activities within an assigned sales territory. Conduct in-depth customer needs assessments to deliver customized solutions and develop positive relationships with clients at all organizational levels, including C-level executives. Manage and cultivate existing accounts while tracking sales activity using CRM tools to maintain a strong pipeline. Effectively problem-solve complex customer concerns and serve as a trusted advisor by understanding client operations and providing ongoing support. Manage contract renewals and stay informed about industry trends, market conditions, and competitor activity. Work closely with internal departments, including operations, credit, and service, to ensure a seamless customer experience. Assist in mentoring branch rental sales personnel and manage the overall performance of assigned branches.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Sales, Marketing, Accounting or equivalent working experience
- 4+ years of sales experience with a proven track record of success
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficient in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- No required overnight travel (except for an occasional meeting at corporate HQ)
- A valid driver's license with no more than 2 moving violations and/or at fault accidents in the past 3 years
- No drug or alcohol related conviction on your record in the past 3 years (i.e., DUI, DWI, reckless driving, using a cellular device, etc.)
- Must be authorized to work in the United States and not require work authorization sponsorship by our company for this position now or in the future
