Job Summary
Area Sales Manager responsible for directing sales operations within the assigned Jordan region, leading and developing the sales team, strengthening relationships with customers and distributors, and ensuring effective route-to-market execution. Responsibilities include planning and negotiating customer contracts and promotions, monitoring market trends and shopper behavior, driving product penetration and distribution growth, managing in-store execution (availability, visibility, pricing, promotions), tracking KPIs and driving improvements using data tools (SAP, CRM, B2B, FIT, RED/SOVI), and coordinating cross-functional teams (Supply Chain, Finance, Marketing, Customer Service) to ensure business continuity. Requires a bachelor’s degree, 5+ years of progressive sales experience (preferably FMCG), strong leadership and negotiation skills, ability to analyze market dynamics, and willingness to travel. Also requires a valid driving license and English proficiency.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Sales, or a related field
- More than 5 years of progressive sales experience, preferably in FMCG
- Proven experience in leading and developing sales teams
- Strong understanding of route-to-market, trade terms, promotions, and in-store execution
- Strong negotiation, communication, and relationship-management skills
- Ability to analyze market trends, shopper behavior, and competitive dynamics
- Strong planning, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities
- Good command of English (spoken and written)
- Valid driving license and willingness to travel within the assigned area
