Job Summary
Area Sales and Catering Coordinator for three Marriott properties (Courtyard by Marriott Waterfront, Residence Inn by Marriott Riverview, Springhill Suites by Marriott Riverview). Responsibilities include handling transient and group activity; developing action plans to solicit business; building relationships with lead sources (third parties, CVB, travel organization); conducting site visits and hotel tours; entertaining qualified clients; attending client events to secure leads; creating unique client proposals for group programs; soliciting new and existing accounts via telephone, outside sales calls, site inspections, and written communication; pursuing opportunities in untapped corporate markets (travel agencies, wholesale segment); representing the property at events; participating in sales and marketing functions; maintaining organized files and managing multiple activities under pressure; requires self-motivation and an entrepreneurial spirit; strong communication skills for clear proposals and interactions.
Required Qualifications
- College degree preferred; High School Diploma and/or 2-3 years’ experience or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
- Marriott brand experience preferred.
