Job Summary
Area Safety Manager II responsible for safety programs across Western Pennsylvania and West Virginia assets. Implement and oversee safety programs to ensure regulatory compliance and continuous improvement. Conduct regular safety audits and inspections; develop and deliver safety training; investigate incidents and manage workers’ compensation. Lead initiatives to promote a culture of safety and provide leadership for employees. Travel to various locations for site visits; strong knowledge of MSHA/OSHA and DOT regulations; experience with underground mines is a plus. Requires effective communication, data analysis, and ability to implement safety improvements; proficient with MS Office and safety software.
Required Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of safety regulations (MSHA and OSHA)
- Knowledge of underground mines (preferred)
- Excellent communication and training skills
- Ability to analyze data and implement safety improvements
- Proven leadership and collaboration abilities
- Solid computer skills, including MS products and safety-related software
